Getting Started
Before starting a puzzle, you can choose your game settings:
- Verb Set
Select the set of verbs you want to practice. The available sets depend on your membership level. - Grid Size
Choose one of the following grid sizes: 15 × 15 ; 20 × 20 ; 25 × 25 - Puzzle Type
You can choose between:
- Verb Translation Puzzle (translate the verb into French)
- Verb Conjugation Puzzle (fill in the correct French conjugation)
Note: Multiple words may appear in the grid without spaces (for example: aieu).
How to Fill In the Grid
- Click on a question under “Across” for a horizontal answer or under “Down” for a vertical answer.
The corresponding cells will be highlighted. - Type your answer directly into the highlighted cells.
- Special characters can be entered using your keyboard or by clicking the special character buttons.
If a question has multiple possible answers, it is marked with a (*). In that case, we use the most common answer.
Help Options
To make the puzzle easier, you can use the following tools:
- Live Error: When enabled, incorrect letters are immediately highlighted in red.
- Hint Button: Clicking the Hint button automatically fills in the first letter of the active word.
Tips
- Start with the answers you feel most confident about.
- Use crossing letters to help solve more difficult words.
- Enable "Live Error" mode if you want instant feedback while learning.
