Getting Started
Before starting a puzzle, you can choose your game settings:
- Verb Set
Select the set of verbs you want to practice. The available sets depend on your membership level. - Grid Size
Choose one of the following grid sizes:15 × 15 ; 20 × 20 ; 25 × 25 - Puzzle Type
You can choose between:
- Verb Translation Puzzle (translate the verb in french)
- Verb Conjugation Puzzle (fill in the correct french conjugation)
Note: Multiple words may appear in the grid without spaces (for example: aieu).
How Verbs Appear in the Grid
Verbs can be placed in different directions: horizontally, vertically, diagonally and even forward or reversed.
This means a word may read from left to right, right to left, top to bottom, bottom to top, or diagonally in either direction.
How to Select a Word
To mark a verb in the grid:
- Click on the question first. The selected question will be highlighted.
- Click on the first letter of the verb in the grid.
- Click on the last letter of the verb in the grid.
If your selection is correct, the verb will be marked in green in the grid and the question will be marked as solved.
Tips
- Carefully check the direction of the word before selecting it.
- Remember that verbs can also appear reversed.
- Use crossing letters and patterns to help you find more difficult forms.
